Mecca's PV System and Solar Attic Fan

This lovely array was custom designed specifically to fit the parameters of the limited roof space. It consists of six polycrystalline modules totalling 1.68 kW. The system is grid-tied so that the owners can take advantage of net metering. In addition, the installation has motivated the owners to reduce their electricity demands as much as possible. An easy application of solar technology that can decrease the heavy energy demands created by air conditioning is the Solar Attic Fan. The fan is located at the top of the image, just above the array.
