This long row of gleaming evacuated tubes is one of the largest solar thermal installations in the Midwest! It sits atop a roof at the Bart Villa Apartments in Bloomington, IN.

Some 480 tubes (16 panels in all) collect heat from the sun and provide hot water for 50 apartments in the building. This saves the apartment owners thousands of dollars each year in energy costs and many tons of CO2 emissions.
