This multi-panel array of evacuated tube solar collectors on the roof of a historic building in beautiful downtown Bloomington, IN supplies hot water for 6 studio apartments, a kitchen, a daycare center, and offices for the New Wings project, future home for the Middle Way House women’s shelter.

The project also features the 5Kw photovoltaic system pictured to the right. UniSolar’s glass-free thin-film laminate literally rolls out and sticks onto the roof like contact paper! The solar portion of the project was funded in part by a grant from the Office of Energy Development.
