How solar electric systems convert the sun's rays into energy:
Collection: The sun's rays reach the photovoltaic (PV) modules, energizing electrons
Current creation: Electrons move through a wire, creating a direct current (DC) of electricity
Conversion: The current passes through an inverter which creates alternating current (AC) power used in our homes and businesses
