Sullivan's Solar Powered Furnace
The Sullivans have augmented their space heating with a Solar Powered Furnace. The 4X10 panel absorbs solar heat energy through its glazed surface which also prevents the heat from re-radiating away from the house. The heat is then transferred to the interior of the house. For the Sullivans this is straight into their living room. Cool air within the house is circulated through the furnace and heated. Check valves keep heat from entering the house when necessary. |
